AAA Motor Club Insurance Agent- Chesapeake in Chesapeake, Virginia


Place new insurance business with agency represented markets and provide policyholder service to existing customers, both by phone and in person.


Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Property Casualty Insurance license preferred.

Work Experience: 2 years of account sales or related experience preferred.


Primary Job Functions:

  • Quote insurance premiums and complete applications for insurance.

  • Respond to customer inquiries and make recommendations regarding coverages.

  • Process policy changes as requested by insureds.

  • Accept insurance premium payments and process for delivery to appropriate carriers.

  • Document all customer contacts and correspondence.

  • Screen and underwrite prospects using established company and agency guidelines for proper placement with agency carriers.

  • Take first loss report if required and advise insureds of claims procedures.

  • Diary and follow up with claims Adjustors and related personnel to ensure prompt claim handling.

  • Assist in problem resolution(i.e., refund of cancellation requests, reinstatements, rewrites, service complaints, etc.), review assigned accounts for cross sale and upgrade potential.
