Job Description:

Ferguson is seeking an eBusiness Specialist to join our growing and collaborative team. The ideal candidate will have a focus on customer requirements and have a passion towards driving continuous improvements to Ferguson’s eProcurement presence and solutions.


  • Create and maintain PunchOut and eCatalogs for eProcurement Partnerships, including Hosted Catalogs and Level 2 Files

  • Consult with trading partners and internal business partners to determine business requirements, including required attribute fields and product inclusion

  • Work cross-departmentally to execute and maintain electronic content

  • Ensure eCatalog projects are kept on track and delivered on time

  • Drive efficiencies to reduce operational costs for associates and customers, and continuously improve eCommerce system integrations.


Project Implementation

  • Create PunchOut storefronts and eCatalogs in accordance with business and technical requirements to meet customer expectations

  • Analyze and update product catalog data including pricing, unit of measure, taxonomy, and attributes to meet deliverables; communicate with Content team to identify any gaps in data

  • Coordinate all aspects of project, working closely with the customer and internal project team

  • Organize and document regular customer meetings throughout project and post go-live to present and review project activities, establish deadlines and keep project on track

  • Communicate project status and disseminate project information to customer and internal project team on a regular basis

  • Create and maintain SOP documentation to ensure success

Customer and Third Party Partner Relations

  • Serve as primary contact with third party partners; some examples include Ariba, Birchstreet, Coupa, DSSI, eSupply, Hubwoo, Nexus, OpsTechnology, Perfect Commerce, SciQuest, Yardi

  • Work interactively with customers and vendors for information, feedback or approval at key milestones on projects

  • Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, customers, and vendors on project status and to answer specific questions regarding the setup and configuration


  • Follow quality control processes for catalog operations to ensure efficiency and scalability of the electronic catalog business model

  • Collaborate with team members to proactively address challenges and develop best practice

  • Implement pricing and product updates for eCatalogs

  • Provide product related demos to new and existing customers

  • Maintain accurate project tracking with complete customer information


  • 4-year college degree or equivalent

  • Familiarity with eProcurement

  • Critical thinking and issue resolution skills

  • Product knowledge preferred

  • Knowledge of agile, Kanban or sprint methodology a plus

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

Performance Measurement

  • Quality and completeness of catalog information provided to customers and portals

  • Accuracy of catalog data

  • Demonstrated ability to make regular updates for existing customers

  • Data syndication methods handled appropriately (manual vs. automated)

  • Customer feedback
