External Job Description:
Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. Gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes. Produces engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics). Performs detailed mathematical calculations using established formulas; preliminary analyses of data where guidelines are provided in such areas as trajectory adequacy, model dimensional consistency; and quantitative judgments concerning technical data. Uses personal computer in performance of analyses and development of documentation/reports. May conduct tests and record data to assist with engineering evaluation or analysis.

Associate’s Degree and 3 years of experience. 2 years of related experience can be substituted for Associate’s degree. 4 years of non-related experience can be substituted for Associate’s degree. Our Nuclear Propulsion Department is looking for Navy Nukes and other Military Trained Electronics Technicians or Electricians. Reactor Operators, System Operators, or Navy Nuke candidates who have Control Room/Nuclear Reactor Plant experience. The ideal candidate will have
•System Operations (Engine Room experience) or as an Electrical Division Leading Petty Officer or Engineering Officer of the Watch (EOOW), Engineering Watch Supervisor, Propulsion Plant Watch Officer, Engine Room Supervisor, Nuclear Repair Coordinator, Reactor Operator, Engineering Watch Officer, as a Nuclear Machinist Mate, Electricians Mate, Electronics Technician, or Leading Petty Officer… etc.
•Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised under demanding time constraints and work effectively in a team environment
•Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills
•Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
•Self-starter with advanced reading and recall skills
•Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
